I need to think about this for a minute... is Adam Trask's initial, ongoing, failures transmuted into success at the end of the book when everything falls away but the importance of being a better father to his kids than his dad was to him?
yes. partially. that’s definitely a big thing. redemption through Cal. the other is that in tiny moments he says “wait i can do better” and cyrus, charles, cathy….never do.
